Do you sometimes feel anxious and low and then give yourself a hard time for feeling this way?
Do you ruminate over the past or project into the future getting lost in thoughts that create stress and angst?
This course is an opportunity for you to become aware and present, to be with things as they are.
Mindfulness gives us a new way to relate to ourselves and the world.
It's a way of shifting from doing to being, suspending judgement and allowing us to respond creatively to the present moment freeing us from the knee-jerk reactions that start the cycle of rumination.
In this course we will engage with a series of mindfulness based practices that will anchor into the here and now and empower you to choose where and how you pay attention training the mind to be less scattered in order to bring about a happier more aware state of being.
This work isn't limited to an hour a week.
With small daily practices and a commitment to this work, you will notice a shift in your state of being.
I will provide you with a meditation for you to do at home as often as you wish.
